Department of Defense Honors Duro-Sense Corporation with a Gold Medal for Valued Performance
Duro-Sense Corporation supplies thermocouples, temperature sensors, thermocouple wire, hardware and related accessories to the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
'We are honored to receive this award', said company President, Jay Waterman. We have always been confident in the quality of our products and the commitment to excellence this company maintains. This recognition means, not only, that we are succeeding in achieving our goals, but that we are providing a product line the government can be confident in using. This doesn't mean we can sit back and rest on our laurels, however. Quite the contrary. We are committed to maintaining this level of quality and excellence and striving to continued improvement in other areas, as well.'
Companies that qualify as Best Value medalists have met stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The best value system collects a supplier's past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from 0 to 100. To qualify for a gold medal, a supplier must have a score of 100 and a Defense Logistics Agency rating of 95 or better. Those who receive a score of 99.0 to 99.9 earn a silver medal. Suppliers with scores ranging from 98.0 to 98.9 earn a bronze medal.
