The unique preparation of premium grade conductors, Mg0 insulation and stainless tubing through reduction swaging and drawing produces a uniform thickness of sheath and high density of insulation. The result is a product that is mechanically strong and impervious to penetration of corrosive gases and moisture. This material has the advantage of high dielectric strength plus the ability to withstand severe physical abuse. It can be formed in a radius equal to its own diameter without damage and can be brazed without loss of dielectric integrity.
The standard configuration is: Iron-Constantan (Type J), ungrounded hot junction, .375 O.D. sheath diameter and 1/2" N.P.T. process connection. Any other calibration, junctions, and diameters must be specified when ordered.
ORDERING INFORMATION:
When ordering, only two descriptive items must be added to the basic part number. The junction (grounded [G] or ungrounded [U]), and the sensor active length (A) below the fitting.
Example: Style 104 thermocouple assembly with an ungrounded junction and active length of 5-7/8 in. would be expressed as:
